For its sixth edition, the annual AZ AWARDS received a remarkable 826 submissions from 52 countries. And now the jury has spoken and 66 finalists have been selected.
In March, the five members of this year’s high-calibre international jury – architect Chris Wilkinson of WilkinsonEyre (London, U.K.), interior designer Anna Simone of Cecconi Simone (Toronto, Canada), landscape architect Thomas L. Woltz of Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects (Charlottesville, USA), architect John Tong of +tongtong (Toronto, Canada), and designer Omer Arbel of Bocci (Vancouver, Canada) – gathered together in Toronto and selected the best from the 826 innovative, groundbreaking and visually stunning architecture and design projects submitted.
On June 17, top players in the architectural and design community from Canada and across the globe will gather for the 2016 AZ AWARDS Gala, at Toronto’s historic Evergreen Brick Works, to network and celebrate all the winners and finalists – including the People’s Choice.
The winning designs will be featured in Azure’s July/August issue, on newsstands in June. This issue will be packed with the best in furniture, lighting, architecture, interiors and landscapes from around the world. Also included are visionary concepts, striking temporary spaces and extraordinary student work.
