60 Curzon residential building designed by PLP Architecture in the Mayfair Conservation Area has introduced a highly detailed architectural response that blends contemporary luxury living with contextual sensitivity. Completed with 32 high-end residences including penthouses and a townhouse, the project incorporates stepped terraces, a shared internal garden, and ceiling heights of 4.4 meters to increase spatial depth and natural light. Interiors by Thierry W. Despont complement a refined material palette. At the same time, resident amenities include a spa, wellness center, car gallery, and club lounge with private access to a ground-floor restaurant. A facade of hand-set Portland Stone with bronze and terracotta detailing references to Georgian townhouses and the former path of the River Tyburn. Massing transitions and enhanced street-level conditions, including expanded pavements and new public art, anchor the project within the surrounding urban fabric.

Buildings respond in a bespoke way, so no two projects are the same. At our core, our mission is grounded in research, strategy, and design.

60 Curzon is a residential building in London’s Mayfair Conservation Area, designed by PLP Architecture. The project presents a contemporary approach to contextual integration through a finely detailed Portland Stone facade that incorporates handcrafted bronze elements and dark green terracotta tilework. This architectural language draws from the material tradition of neighboring Georgian buildings while evolving its expression through precision and form.

The development includes 32 residences, comprising two penthouses and a duplex townhouse. These units are arranged above a shared garden, a rare typology in Mayfair that introduces communal green space into a high-density urban environment. Each floor features stepped terraces or private balconies, creating varied outdoor experiences across the elevation.

Interior design by Thierry W. Despont emphasizes vertical openness and light, with ceiling heights reaching 4.4 meters. The building supports a range of resident-focused programs, including a wellness and spa facility, a temperature-controlled underground car gallery with valet service, hobby rooms, and a private lounge with direct access to a ground-floor restaurant.

Material articulation across the facade demonstrates a commitment to craftsmanship and narrative. Hand-set Portland Stone is detailed with bespoke bronze balustrades that trace the building’s curved forms. These curves were conceived as a reference to the historical path of the River Tyburn, which once flowed beneath Curzon Street. Solid bronze entrance doors, patinated for texture and depth, reinforce the project’s emphasis on material authenticity.

The massing of 60 Curzon was developed to provide a gradual transition in scale from adjacent structures. At the street level, the architecture responds to the public realm through widened pavements, new planting, and curated public art, offering a deliberate interface between private residential use and the surrounding city context.
