Chaos Expands AI Capabilities for AEC with Veras 3.0 and Workflow-Driven Visualization Tools

Veras 3.0 image-to-video generator, developed by Chaos for the AEC industry, has improved visualization workflows by enabling animated storytelling from static renderings through intuitive text prompts, integrated with Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, and other design software. This new feature leads to a broader rollout of AI-driven solutions presented at Autodesk University in Nashville, aimed at enhancing architectural design speed and output precision. Alongside Veras, the suite includes tools such as the AI Enhancer, which enhances flat renders; the AI Material Generator, which transforms real-world photos into usable digital materials; and the AI Upscaler, which increases resolution while preserving quality. Additional tools such as AI Mood Match, AI Material Recommender, and Cylindo Quickshot further support refined rendering control, contextual material selection, and product visualization. All tools are developed using ethical AI practices and integrate across Chaos platforms, including V-Ray, Enscape, and Corona. Veras 3.0 is now available through standalone access or bundled in premium suites, with demos available during Autodesk University 2025 and full pricing listed online.

Chaos has introduced a suite of AI-powered tools for architectural and design visualization, tailored specifically to streamline professional workflows in the AEC sector. Unveiled at Autodesk University in Nashville, the tools reflect a focused integration of artificial intelligence within existing modeling platforms, emphasizing speed, control, and visual quality across the design process. Unlike generic AI offerings, these tools are architecturally contextual and built to enhance routine design operations through targeted automation and visual precision.

At the center of the launch is Veras 3.0, which adds an image-to-video generation tool to Chaos’ AI ecosystem. The feature allows designers to animate still renderings by applying prompts that control motion, lighting, and atmosphere. Users can direct camera panning, adjust environmental conditions, and insert animated elements such as vehicles or digital people—extending Veras’ original capacity to generate style variations from 2D and 3D inputs. The tool integrates directly with Revit, Rhino, and SketchUp, allowing for visual exploration without requiring a shift in software platforms or complex post-processing steps.

Chaos CEO Iveta Cabajova emphasized the company’s commitment to building ethical and supportive AI for the AEC industry. “As AI continues to transform the AEC industry, Chaos is paving the way with responsible AI tools designed to serve as creative companions for architects, designers, and visualization artists, while ensuring that they retain control and ownership of their work,” said Cabajova. She positioned the toolset as an expansion of user agency, intended to resolve practical constraints in the creative pipeline.

Recent updates also extend Chaos’ AI Enhancer, which refines low-fidelity render elements such as people and vegetation. First released in Enscape in 2024, the enhancer now appears in Corona and V-Ray 7 for 3ds Max, with broader integration planned. The update gives users more control, allowing adjustments based on specific demographics, emotional tone, or targeted enhancements in select image areas.

The AI Material Generator, currently active in Corona and V-Ray for 3ds Max, allows users to convert real-world images into reusable, physically-based digital materials. These are stored within Chaos Cosmos, the company’s asset library, and soon will be available across additional product lines.

Architectural visualizer Agnieszka Klich, co-founder of Arch Viz Artist, shared her practical experience: “The AI Enhancer saves me time by refining images instantly, reducing the need for extra post-production. When I don’t have textures available online, the Material Generator lets me quickly create a material without disrupting my workflow. Both tools make the process faster and more creative, which is exactly what I value in Corona.”

New tools introduced at the event include:

  • Advanced User Controls in AI Enhancer: Offers refinements across Enscape, Corona, and V-Ray 7 for SketchUp, Rhino, and Revit. These controls improve specificity when rendering people or vegetation.
  • AI Mood Match: Automatically matches lighting and environmental conditions from reference images, removing the need for manual sky or sun positioning.
  • AI Material Recommender: Uses context-aware AI to suggest materials within Chaos Cosmos, streamlining the search process.
  • AI Upscaler: Enhances image resolution by up to four times while maintaining photorealistic detail, with no additional cost.
  • Cylindo Quickshot: Designed for product and furniture visualization, this tool generates lifestyle images from base product shots, preserving scale and minimizing visual inconsistencies. It provides controlled environments for props, lighting, and backdrops, supporting e-commerce workflows.

Attendees at Autodesk University 2025 can view live demonstrations of Veras 3.0 and preview other tools at Chaos Booth #307. Private demos are available by request. In parallel, Chaos representatives Roderick Bates and Bill Allen will host a dedicated session titled “Design to Delivery — Faster with the Right AI,” focusing on effective AI integration in architectural workflows.

Veras 3.0 is now available as a standalone tool and through the Enscape Premium and ArchDesign Collection Suites. Pricing, including educational licensing, is detailed on the Chaos website.
