House with a Pool residential building designed by MIDE architetti in Vigodarzere, Veneto, has redefined spatial clarity through a linear, single-story layout that responds to a narrow north-south plot. Completed in 2021, the project emphasizes essential construction by using concealed joints, flush surfaces, and a pitched roof. Interior and exterior spaces are connected through expansive glazing and a roof extension that creates a covered outdoor area, linking the living zone to the pool while preserving the formal integrity of the architectural concept.

Good architecture should feel effortless and timeless, the result of thoughtful restraint and attention to detail rather than excess or complexity.

The house stands on a narrow site in Vigodarzere, near Padua, shaped by the constraints of a north-south-oriented plot measuring roughly 30 meters in length. In response, the architects developed a single-level structure with a pitched roof that follows the long axis of the land. The linear footprint reinforces the spatial logic of the site while supporting a clear organizational strategy for the interior, where all spaces align along the same direction to maximize usability and minimize circulation.

The project focuses on simplicity in both form and construction. All architectural details were designed to emphasize clean, continuous lines. This was achieved through the use of flush surfaces, hidden joints, and coplanar elements. These decisions contribute to a refined and restrained material presence, allowing the form of the building to take precedence.

A compact and efficient floor plan reduces the area devoted to corridors and circulation, allocating more space to the home’s primary functions. This enhances daily use and aligns with the overall intent to maintain a straightforward spatial composition.

Natural light and openness define the interior atmosphere. Large glazed openings in the living area promote transparency and establish a strong connection with the surrounding outdoor space. The pitched roof extends outward to strengthen this link, forming a shaded porch that transitions to the swimming pool. The extension’s geometry maintains continuity with the main structure, ensuring that the spatial and formal logic remains uninterrupted across both interior and exterior zones.
