Silo Point, designed by Parameter Inc, was originally built in 1923 as the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad grain elevator, the world’s largest and fastest at the time. Located on Baltimore’s southernmost peninsula, the 24-story, 300-foot structure played a key role in global grain shipment. Turner Development transformed this historic landmark into a mixed-use development, integrating the original grain tower and silos. Now spanning nearly one million square feet, Silo Point features 228 luxury condominiums, along with 20,000 square feet of retail, restaurants, a spa, salon, and office spaces. The design honors Baltimore’s industrial past while reflecting its modern urban future.

Originally built in 1923, the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad grain elevator was recognized as the largest and fastest in the world at the time. Situated on Baltimore’s southernmost peninsula, the 24-story, 300-foot structure was strategically positioned to facilitate the transport of grain and other agricultural products for global distribution. Turner Development later revitalized this iconic industrial structure, integrating the original grain tower and thirteen silos into the design of what is now known as Silo Point.

In its design, Silo Point serves as both a tribute to the economy and culture that initially established Baltimore as a major city and a vision of the city’s evolving 21st-century economy, culture, and population. The development is centered on the integration of glass, concrete, steel, and an inherent sense of character.

Turner Development Group transformed Silo Point from an abandoned grain elevator into a modern urban condominium and mixed-use development, guided by the principle that a city’s future vision must honor its past. Today, Silo Point encompasses nearly one million square feet, featuring 228 luxury condominiums along with 20,000 square feet of retail spaces, restaurants, a spa, salon, and office facilities.
