Storage X Domaine 17 Showroom retail interior project designed by Temp Project in Kyiv, Ukraine transforms three ground-floor halls of an early 20th-century building into a hybrid space for streetwear fashion and urban cultural expression. The men’s showroom, Storage, features poured concrete surfaces, steel installations, and vault-themed displays emphasizing exclusivity and skatepark references. The women’s showroom, Domaine 17, introduces color and curvature with features like rounded mirrors, corrugated steel walls, and interactive vintage TV installations. A mirrored fitting zone in the third space distorts scale and reflection, while custom furnishings like Oito’s pink Bug table and movement-inspired seating deepen the spatial narrative. Material choices such as concrete, stainless steel, and aged brick support the industrial language, with accents of greenery adding contrast in a dimly lit context.

Resellers of men’s and women’s streetwear have converted three ground-floor halls of an early 20th-century building in central Kyiv into a space dedicated to bold urban culture. This shared environment brings together two clothing showrooms, each operated by a young entrepreneurial couple, with each partner leading their respective brand. The men’s showroom, Storage, and the women’s showroom, Domaine 17, both embrace a raw and rebellious atmosphere centered on sportswear and street fashion. The collections, curated from international labels, capture the essence of contemporary urban culture. According to architect Anastasiia Tempynska, the clients envisioned a setting inspired by an abandoned industrial area, characterized by scratched concrete surfaces, exposed rebar, and vegetation reclaiming space from the city. The interior reflects the raw character of an urban landscape shaped with minimal human intervention. Several original architectural features of the building were retained, including arched doorways, wooden ceiling beams, and brick walls. Anastasiia notes that the brickwork was intentionally left untouched to preserve an unrefined and authentic aesthetic, avoiding a polished appearance.

The men’s store, Storage, is located in the first hall, which was formerly used as a beauty salon. The uneven flooring with radial patterns, a feature left from the salon’s previous function, was repurposed by incorporating a poured concrete reception desk that evokes the appearance of a skatepark. The brand’s concept centers on preserving the most valuable and sought-after elements of contemporary fashion and culture, symbolized by a safe that serves as the store’s emblem. Large vault doors positioned in the catwalk area are used to display footwear, reinforcing the theme of exclusivity. A dedicated photo zone for fashion shoots, featuring a steel wall backdrop, is placed near the entrance. In addition, the clothesline is raised to the ceiling via a control panel to create an open space for photography sessions.

The second hall, which houses the Domaine 17 womenswear showroom, introduces a softer visual language through rounded forms and colorful accents. Key design elements include wavy mirror frames created by the Ukrainian brand Oito and pink mobile floor reels. Corrugated steel walls, evoking the atmosphere of industrial workshops, reinforce the raw aesthetic. A prominent art installation composed of vintage televisions forms a chaotic arrangement within the space. Hidden cameras among the screens capture visitors’ movements and project them back onto the monitors with various visual effects such as noise, color distortion, and digital glitches. The third zone, a conceptual extension located at the rear, contains the fitting rooms. These spaces feature mirrored walls that produce a maze-like environment, allowing visitors to view themselves from multiple angles. Heavy doors resembling a vault lead to a storage area, while the asymmetrical pink Bug table by Oito seems to float, amplifying the surreal experience created by the mirrored surroundings.

In the first hall, dark blue armchairs with elongated cylindrical cushions integrated into metal frames, along with a large rounded sofa, take inspiration from the movement design trend, where objects appear to stretch and contract as if resisting physical limitations. The project’s main materials include concrete, aged brick, stainless steel, and corrugated metal, all contributing to a raw industrial character. The color palette is composed of shades of gray, black, and lilac, while vivid accents of light green and lemon are introduced through islands of moss and ferns that thrive despite limited natural light.
